— KATABOM BAR — Live music bar in Puerto Princesa

I have to be real here, Katabom Bar is my second home.

There are many reasons for me to like this place.

The first reason is that my dear husband-to-be is a live performer there so I would go there to watch him play. Katabom bar is really popular among local for its great live performers. People go here to listen to good music, international or filipino songs.  Wednesdays and Saturdays are party nights. A band would play until late at night and people would dance on classics such as Beatles or Bob Marley.

Second reason is that I love the ambiance and the decor. If you are looking for a warm, friendly and cosy ambiance, you should definitely go to Katabom Bar. Many locals artists participated on the decoration of the bar where you can find wall paintings, sculptures and many other local artworks. The staff is friendly and very good at their work. They will make you feel like you’re at home, enjoying a drink and cool music with friends.

Third reason is that many of my friends hang out there. I don’t have much to say about this reason. When I go to Katabom Bar, I will always meet somebody I know and meet new people, locals or travellers.

and the fourth reason is for HAPPY HOUR (yes, I’m obsessed with happy hour and no, I’m not an alcoholic person.) The happy hour is from 5pm to 8pm, you can enjoy cheap beers or 60 P Cocktails (you have a large choice of Cocktails).

I really encourage you to check the bar out if you’re in town, you won’t regret it. The bar opens at 5pm, and if you like it quiet and calm I would advice you to go early since most people would arrive around 9.30 – 10 PM.

Have a great evening everybody ! Cheers !
